TOPIC SPEECH 2020, 1st term.




The TOPIC SPEECH, is an activity of a major importance for Colegio San Ignacio Alonso de Ovalle.







IMPORTANT INFORMATION


1. You are going to make a deep research of a new business for you.

2. You have to work autonomously and cope with the DEADLINES (time limits)



3. To build up your research you are entitled to use computers at school and your family one AT HOME. It is your personal responsibility to find the time and ways to cope with the deadlines. 

4. Each topic will be different, but you will be given a FRAMEWORK ( structure to follow).

Objective
Deliver a descriptive - persuasive speech to raise awareness about famous brands around the world to a given audience  through a speech from 3'30'' to 4'30'' 
Impersonate a foreign businessman member of a famous company, you are here in Chile seeking for new investors in your company





                 




REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR TOPIC SPEECH

1.You must have a g-mail account


2.Topic Speech is entirely prepared using online resources (Google drive)

3. Final oral presentation must be accompanied by a full picture google slide presentation

4.You must have a g-mail account

5. You have to use dictionary.com ; wordreference.com



                                     

GRADING

a.-  WRITING PARAGRAPHS (online format)
Paragraphs 1,2,3,4 have to be finished on time (1 paragraphs per week)

Each paragraph  will be assessed with according to the level of achievement 
ACHIEVED= 3 POINTS
HALF ACHIEVED= 2 POINTS
NON ACHIEVED= 1 POINT

Topic speech comprende 2 etapas evaluadas independientemente.


a. Completación de cada párrafo para formar el texto continuo ( COEF 1)

b. Producto final (texto final+ google slide+exposición oral. (COEF 2)


Serás evaluado en la parte escrita y en la parte hablada  en una escala de 1 a 5 puntos.

Donde 1 punto es no logrado y 5 puntos es excelente.

Consideraremos en tu trabajo escrito los siguientes ámbitos.

a. Buen uso de Gramática y vocabulario en Inglés
b. Uso de referencias en tu texto
c. Uso de mayusculas y de puntuación
d. Uso correcto del formato de tu trabajo, párrafos e información correcta en cada uno de ellos
e. Autonomia de trabajo escolar
f. Uso intensivo de diccionario online y no del traductor online
g. Uso correcto de lenguaje descriptivo y/o persuasivo a lo largo del texto.
h. Uso apropiado de conectores, uso de verbos
i. Uso de referencias en el texto
